Elaine Guitar van Loo

Elaine Guitar van Loo

Elaine has mastered an exclusive style in a variety of mediums. Her subject matter varies; she paints subjects that stimulate her sight, mind and soul. Although the work is realistic in nature, her goal is not to make her paintings appear “photographic”, but rather, “alive”. More importantly, she strives to create a stronger awareness and appreciation for all life through her art. Her detail encourages the viewer to see things that they may have overlooked and to experience and feel the unique individuality of the subjects portrayed.

Over the years, Elaine’s artwork has helped to support area hospitals and charities including the Canadian Red Cross, Humane Society and The Hearing Society.

Her original pieces and limited edition reproduction prints can be found in private collections across Canada, the United States, Scotland, England and Australia.

Layne  van Loo

Paintings by Layne van Loo can be found in public and private art collections throughout Canada and the United States.

Layne’s detailed renderings reflect his love for wildlife, the natural setting, and those subjects that relate to our heritage.

To achieve the realistic aspect of his paintings, Layne has found a preference for the water based mediums such as acrylic, transparent watercolour, gouache or water soluble oils.

Having done his first paintings at the age of twelve, the artist draws on many years of experience, but for him each painting is a new challenge and part of a continuing learning process.

“My hope is that viewers of my work will be able to identify with a specific piece and share in a unique visual communication”.

Layne’s artwork has received honors in the Chrysler Canada “Search for Canadian Wildlife Artists", and has helped support local heritage and wildlife organizations such as Ducks Unlimited Canada.
